not to mention Max/max for live, standalone plugs/apps, just way to much reinstalling.

yup. ableton recently got listed as compatible with Mavericks.
word.

perhaps the ableton provided Sticky on Mavericks compatibility should be updated
to reflect the success of running v9.0.6.... seems to be working fine

Anybody have iTunes issues after upgrading? My friend said all his playlists disappeared, some issue with podcasts, and a couple folders he was storing music in disappeared.

I did it, and everything works perfectly as smooth as SL with the addition of those nice 10.9 add-ons which are very confortable workflow wise. Live 9.0.x, Live 9.1, m4L (I haven't tested L8 though),Push, Kontakt, Absynth, Audiofinder, Amplitube, RX ...

No, a dirty one, a simple upgrade from SL, no formatting.

they hide some of it - the radio stations I used to listen to had disappeared so I googled it and it turns out you now have to tick a box in the prefs.

Okay so now Ableton is saying Mavericks is not compatible with 9.06, but with 9.1. Haven't people been saying here they are having no problems with Mavericks and the current release? :?

"we have just released a knowledge base article with some information on OS X 10.9 "Mavericks" compatibility:
http://www.ableton.com/articles/maveric ... atibility/"

Hmnn. I'm getting a brand new Macbook Pro retina in a few days. I'm wondering, should I install the beta 9.1? I really don't want to go back to 8 point whatever, I've started really learning on 9.

I understand I'll have resolution issues with the Retina screen, for now. I sure hope I'm not going to have OS issues too. :(

9.0.6 worked fine for me last night... i opened an old project that had a few Waves plugs and the only issues i had were that jbridge wasn't working... since the Waves plugins were 32 bit they were not loaded in the project... oddly, the licensing prompt still popped up (i forgot to plug in the dongle) after going through the motions the project loaded but no plugs.

i don't blame Ableton or Apple for that though... 32 bit plugs, 64 bit OS - known compatibility issue.

if there's anything specific you want me to try i can probably do that... if it's super set specific send me a PM and maybe you can drop the set in drop box or something. i'll help if i can.

the bigger issue is usually drivers for audio interfaces - they can take a long time for companies to update, and OS updates can screw up installers (and uninstallers) and leave you unable to do anything about it

as a general rule of thumb I would say in the Audio world, especially if you rely on your computer for gigs or have deadlines, is just wait for the dust to settle and avoid jumping on early.

^ yeah agreed... i thought about that this morning... i did not try to record any audio. i played with MIDI and audio effects, moved things around, made some tweaks, opened old projects, but did not record...

of course, i have a TC Electronic Konnekt 6 so TC Konnekt drivers are all that any review i might give will apply to, but i'll post up none the less.
