Studio monitors/PA??

What are you guys using for monitors? I need a setup that I can use for monitoring and throwing the odd house party for under 60 people. I had some M-audio Bx5's, they weren't bad, but I had to sell em. So now I am looking for a new system...I definately want a sub or subs as well.

I am thinking 2 JBL EON 15's and a couple EON subs....that would power a prty pretty nice right? Although those probably wouldn't make very good studio monitors. ha. I could build a couple Tuba 24's. I know a guy who builds audiophile speakers...maybe I should look into that avenue..anyone have plans for the JBL speakers? hehe.
