Serious crash error

Post by tastypants » Sun Jul 07, 2013 9:46 pm

A crash log was dumped into one of my folders and this has caused a "serious program error"
I cannot open up anything. Once I try to open up a project this error comes up. I was on ableton a few hours ago and everything as fine then BOOM this happens..

How do I fix this? It tells me the log may be invisible- so I made all my documents visible.

and to top it all off whenever I scroll down on the menu screen the damn scrolling goes right back up or down so I only have a few seconds to be where I want to be..

Any advice? I can't find the log..

Try deleting your preferences files, or renaming them to .old.

Also, remove any USB devices such as sound cards, MIDI controllers before startup.

Cheers

OK...well log files are in

OSX /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Ableton/Live 9.x.x/Log.txt
Win 7 C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\Live 9.x.x\Preferences
