I have a rack macro knob with a value @ 1. If I launch a clip that modulates that knob @ 2, and then the clip in the next scene has no modulation info stored, the knob will jump back @ 1. Is there any way to get it to stay @ 2 so I can avoid the maintenance nightmare of having to modulate that value in every single clip? I'm doing this for every track, for every song.

Thanks!

I can't answer the question, but did find a way to solve my problem. I used a dummy control clip in a dummy midi track to send data to a MIDI loopback using channel 16 on the IAC bus on mac to set the value. I kind of needed this for a program change, so now whenever I need a new song I just trigger the clip, and it sets all the knobs I want to map to that CC, no matter where they are in ableton. This is huge.

Tip: I used MidiSimulator to send the midi message while in MIDI-map mode so I didn't have to futz with triggering the sample. Super easy!
