wow. you have 2 pressure points as well.
i take it you're already set up with CV to midi modules then ? and or hardware modular pieces as well.

thats the thing for my decision leaning towards the urzwerg. i don't have any hardware synth modules,
and no rack to put it in.

Nope, 'just' a pure modular synth.

Pressure points +brains is great. I use that, +2 synthwerks pgm 4x4 and a bunch of switches and a flip flop for most of my sequencing. But I also don't use my modular sequencers to control live. Live is a fantastic sequencer on its own, and when I want analog style step sequencing in it, I go for an instrument rack and a controller with a lot of sliders or lemur on my iPad to do it.

MFB urzwer mkii - built in midi to ableton capable, 32 steps , full hands on control,
or the make noise rene - cartesian mutation sequencing excitement, seems troublesome to talk to ableton

curious, do you use the makenoise rene on stage.. and are you sending Renes sequencings to ableton, and if so, how ?

i just got my keith mcmillan qunexus talking midi from live to my modular via CV. haven't tried the other way yet (CV to midi in live), but supposed to work the same.

i also recently purchased someone's DIY sequencer- gate signal + 16 steps w/ 1 CV, or switchable to 8 steps w/ 2 CVs. unfortunately, no external clock input, so syncing with ableton will be a little more iffy.

Decided on a completely different approach to externally sequence Live.
I'm going the eurorack format with the Kilpatrick Audio K4815 Pattern Generator

Quite the opposite of the René, indeed...

totally opposite from rene.. but now is the time to expand.
could even trigger the rene with the k4815.

either way its exciting. i plan on focusing on the sequencing aspect of modular.
and leaving all the sounds inside Live for now.

hps-kgen is the little brother of hps-octane step sequencer. This sequencer is inspired by the Kilpatrick Audio K4815 Pattern Generator module. This M4L device will share all the ergonomics and functions with hps-octane (clip trigger, presets, ...) and might come with a Lemur remote panel too. When I will have a more finished device, I will open a specific topic and a specific page in my website.
