need advice to get a bit more organized

Post by rockironwebb » Wed Jul 24, 2013 11:19 am

I need some organization tips. I have all of my actual live projects in pretty good order,,,but I have let all my loop/midi/samples/vst presets get out of control. I need to get shit in order. Any advice?

Can you please define how your data is 'out of control'? Dunno where to start with throwing tips.

Maybe some suggestions on how other people keep files in order. folders, subfolders? Drums wavs seem easy enough,,kick, snare, hat, toms, and such,,,,but loops? I started to try and organize it all and gave up because I ended up with too many subfolders,,,,,same with midi files,,,I probably have 5000 midi files. I know I will have to spend a lot of time sorting through things,,I was just hoping someone may have a nice efficient way of doing it.
