Operator for Live 8

Post by Aerowalk » Sun Jul 28, 2013 3:46 am

Hi, I'm still running live 8 (standard) and would like to add operator. in the online store, however, it states system requirements as live 9. is it possible to purchase the operator license for previous versions of live? surely it is!?

thanks.

Do your happen to already own an upgrade license to Live 9?
Then the shop would display the Live 9 compatible packs.

I still have a Live Lite license registered to my account, when I switch the dropdown on top of the packs page to that and click for Operator's details, it reads "Requirements: Live 8 or higher". [... it's listed with the compatible packs even though it wouldn't run under Live Lite AFAIK ...]

In your case I'd contact Ableton, too.

On the top of the page, there are some filtering options. On the far right side, you can select the version of Live you are looking at packs for. Make sure it says L8. Since I have L9 Suite, I can't verify this will fix your issue for sure, but it might be what you need to do.

That's the whole point, I was trying to make above: When you're not logged into the site, you do not get that particular dropdown at all. And when you are logged in you only get to choose from the highest version of each license/upgrade chain you have registered.
