Ableton is freezing my Mac

I am having problems with Ableton live 9 (educational version) on my MacBook Pro . For some reason when I turn on my computer it makes me sign in twice now and I keep getting the spinning color wheel every time I do anything on the computer. This thing goes for 2-5 minutes, or the computer just freezes. This happens when I'm not even using Ableton. I thought it was my computer so I took it to icare and they deleted the computer then reloaded it again. Everything was fine until I downloaded Ableton again on to my Mac. What is going on?

Run the Apple Hardware Test, reset PRAM, etc.

I went to the link and tried it but just got a grey screen? This problem seems to start off rather minor and then become worse with time.....

^ yeah, update Live right away to 9.0.5

sounds like the browser issue, more than likely it's indexing. the browser has been improved a lot in the latest releases.
