Launchpad custom user mode LED colors

Post by phonographiq » Wed Aug 14, 2013 3:38 am

Ay y'all.

I got a custom rack I rock for my live set where I have user2 mode mapped out to parameters on track 1 thru 8, as well as for the master.

What I'm wondering, and have been wondering for a coupla years now: is there any direction y'all could point me in (that isn't novation automap) to change the LED colors for my on/off status for these parameters? Thing is, I have a lot of trouble with the unlit LEDs, for I have very poor vision, and was hoping I could keep User2 lit up, as in the off status a color like red, whereas an on status go, say, green. It's the blank LEDs that throw me off every time and I have so much trouble seeing what's happening. I know this has come up before, I just don't know how to word it out for searching.

Plz, anyone? <3 <3 <3 y'all ;)

Colour is controlled by velocity.
You need to set up a separate track routed back to the Launchpad with something on there that changes the velocity

Well yeh, though most of these are on/off, all dry/all wet mappings. I would like to change those colors from just off/yellow, yellow being the 127 velocity color on the Launchpad MIDI feedback output.

Just a quick add on to this

if I'm using user 2,do I set up a midi track, and a velocity plugin for led feedback, for my chosen mapped controls?

new user of Launchpad S btw :D
