Re: multi track warp in live 7 - help please
I usually do a specific sequence of steps.
First I make sure when I first load them, they don't have warp markers, and I have warping off.
I'll line the beginnings up, make sure they are all extended to their full length.
Then put them in the right spot on the arrangement page. For my purposes, that usually means having the beginning of all the clips being on a clear downbeat which lands on the Live grid. But for you it can be whatever.
Now for the warping.
I select one clip. Probably the clearest, easiest one to warp. I'll turn on warp, and hit the master/slave button in warp properties. When you do that, it changes Live's tempo on playback to match the speed of your warp markers.
So if you add a bunch of markers to the clip and hit play, nothing will 'seem' warped at all. And if you warp it well, the metronome will follow along.
Now I highlight all the rest of the clips and turn warp on.
In most cases for me, they all take on the warping of the master clip.
If that doesn't work, I'd turn warp back off. Exit Live. Delete the analysis files pertaining to those clips (but not the actual audio clips themselves), open Live, and start over.
If it still doesn't work, I'm sorry for wasting your time :/
