25% off in the store - makes me think that perhaps they are going to announce the next version perhaps?

I highly doubt it, since Live 9 came out not too long ago.. unless it's 9.5 or something like that? or some other kind of Ableton software?

It was announced last october - prior to it all going a bit wrong when the bitwig ppl left there was a yearly update cycle, which was why when i saw the 25% off thing it made me think that might be what's happening...

sweet! yeah, Live 10 must be coming out in October or November. no doubt.

i heard it will have dual monitor support, reimplemented PDC, highly improved browser/database search schema, a complete Looper overhaul, .mp3 export, built in Audio editor (a Sony partnership), cruise control, and leather seats.

can't wait!

More likely that the money they got on the front end of buy 8, get 9 free, is not bringing it in for 9 like they'd hoped.

They NEED to take a look at all those crash reports people are sending in (er, you ARE sending them in, right?????)

They were probably looking to bump up sales from people like... me (OMG1JUSTUPGRADED!!!)
Seems logical, offering sales after the initial rush on your product has passed, now if it were 50% off, I might start speculating.

I haven't been getting any crashes with live 9 - running Maschine inside it (which is a bit of a beast), loads of track, external stuff all is well...

Sorry to hear those are, I have found it stable as f*ck (bar maschine occasionally crashing one project when loading another maschine project inside).....

not what anyone wants to hear when they are getting crashes tho If it's any consolation the 32 bt versions were horible for me as I kept forgettign about the 2 / 2.5 gig memory allowance...
