Why is this kick panned slightly to the left....?

Perhaps it's something glaringly obvious, but I'm not seeing it.
I have a 707 kick here on midi track one, in a rack. I've recorded it two audio track 2. You can see in the screenshot that it's not in the centre, rather, it's panned to the left. And I don't know why...? In the drum rack itself it's centred! I have other stuff in that rack which have delays, reverbs and other processing on them and stuff, but nothing on the kick.

The little green clip in track 2 is the original kick sample, which is a mono sample.

Because the original file is stereo.
The display in simpler can be confusing, since it accepts stereo files but only displays the left (?) channel.

Well, either the original sample is already panned (but you said it was mono, right?!), or the drum rack chain for that kick is panned.
Since the little meter on the end of the drum rack is already panned, I don't see any other possibility.
What happens if you drag that Simpler alone to a different track?

(Or there is another drum send affecting the kick that you forgot to mention, or the drive send you have has some panning capabilities in the device...)

No, it's mono - that's the original file there, in green on (audio) track 2

check the drum rack return channels. Looks like there is a delay and verb in there so that might be the key.

Yep, check the effects in the chain, and your drum rack's mixer...

Your drum rack is the preset kit granular stretch and if you would look into the chain of the kick, right from the pads in the rack, you would see, that pan is there on 20 L!!

So open your eyes if you modify a drum rack for your own usage.

Or he could just read the thread he made ;-)

(I had suggested to look at the chain pan yesterday  )
