Apple hadn't released an update in quite a while and word is that there won't be any more. I could be wrong but when an OS has almost fifty known security holes and you don't release any security updates and instead release a new OS it probably means you aren't really supporting the old OS. I bear you no ill will Beats but... Shut up. Let me get back to my Old English 800 now.

Fair ‘nough. I still run Mountain Lion on my production iMac cause I don’t want to deal with potential issues with my countless plugins. Probably won’t upgrade until Mavericks is at least a year old. But I swear there’s been OS updates in the last month or so. Or maybe not. Maybe it’s just been specific Apple software and not system related.

Anyhow enjoy Mavericks and your 800.

A real thug wouldn't be posting about Mavericks compatibility with Ableton Live, detective.

For the record I think OE is garbage. I prefer Labatt Ice if I'm going to drink 40z. Must be the suburbanite in me.

hi guys,

perfectly happy with my snow leopard system (live 8),

I just purchased Maschine mk2,

it needs my mac to be at least on lion to be installed...

So I just went on google to read review and opinions about mavericks and found it was not reliable at all... as I can read also here on some threads,

should I just upgrade to Lion, Mountain Lion, or jump on the Mavericks 1.9.2?

My macbook is a white one, macbook4,1 with 2,4ghz core2duo and 4gb RAM...

any advice?

Cheers

I´m having a lot of problems with Live 9 and Mavericks. It´s not really stable and deffo a flow killer, but it could be that my Mac is too old to grasp the new software etc.

@ supamonsta - I haven't had any issues with mavericks, it actually solved a wifi issue I was having... besides that only a VPN program stopped working. Nothing music related. Mavericks is free, but if you're that worried about it why not just bump up to Mountain Lion for a couple of bucks? It'll get Maschine running.

Hi, thanks for your answer H2O,

I went for information, and my macbook4,1 can only upgrade to Lion (it has the GMA 144mb graphic chipset only 32bits)

so I bought a copy of Lion on the apple store, and now waiting for news from them (they advertised for a link to a download in maximum 3 days... WTF?)

anyway, my musical duo's colleague brought me our macbook pro lion-fed and I can use maschine, so no harm done ^^

ok, I'm out of topic, so let's go :D

cheers

Yes !!!

This has been happening constantly ... Its so dam annoying.

It only happens when Im working on a fairly busy project. But its ruining my life.

I see "Ableton Index Not Responding" on the Activity monitor flash up when the issue is happening.
