To the OP:

Apparently I'm in a minority ;-)
So take everything people said in here and base your decision on this!
My point stands: for the really integrated controllers like Push and Maschine learning the hardware = learning a big chunk of the software; while having fun! Which does not mean at all that the other opinions don't have merit.
So: have fun whatever you decide to do!

And keep in mind we really like it here, if you report back on how our help helped you :-)

I was leaning towards push but after talking to some people it seems like i'll be spending most of my time on the computer editing so maybe a korg nano setup/launchpad+control would be better.

Should I pick up the launch pad+launch control or would it better getting the mpk25+kontrol or a combination of the 3?

I don't know the respective prices, but is this then still cheaper then Push?
Because Push is certainly a lot more integrated into Live then these 3. And in higher quality as well!

It would cost me about $250 for all 3 of them.
