Need some Help for have mapping ideas

Hi ,

i bought the new reloop Keypad and i search to do a very usefull template on Ableton Live.



i'm new and i don't know how to map, so if people can help me i will be very happy.

The Keypad have 2 Scene:
Scene 1 is already mapped for Ableton Live ( but i can change the mapping to the big knobs (3) because i dont use Pan)
Scene 2 all the settings are free to map.

i would like to use effects
1 question about effects: is it better to put effects on Return/Send channels?
Or it's better to put effects on each channels? if yes, do i need to put the same effects on each channels? or can i change (for exemple i put delay on channel 1 for drums, i put grey filter on channel 2 for synth , ect......)?

other question: i use a lot of vst (for exemple i would like to put in channel 3 = Albinos / channel 4 = Massive / channel 5 = B4 II) and i would like use a lot of effects on Vst: do you think it's possible with my keypad? (for exemple on Massive, i would like to control "Filter1" "CutOff" "intensify" "resonnance" "pitch" "feedback" ect...ect.... but i have only 3 knobs by channels....what do you think about that?

other question:

if i choose to buy Keypad, it's because i thinked that i can map all the 24 Knobs to many effects/Vst's.
But , in fact, when i try to map , for exemple, the knob 1, i can't map it again for other effect or other channels's VST.

i mean, if i choose the channel 1 (with 1 filter). So i map the knob 1 (CC 2/89) to the dry/wet 's filter. Ok, it work.
BUT, if i select the channel 2, with beat repeat and if i map the same knob 1 to this effect, if i turn the knob 1, it turn in the SAMe time, the filter AND the beat repeat.

so my question is, how can i do for move only the settings that i select on Ableton?

You need a remote script... You may have to write one for that controller if one doesn't exist...

I thought also about this controller, but it dont have a redbox and dont have a grid for launching scene. in combination with a launchpad ist nice because finally you get some knobs
and scene and clip launch, but a simple tranport function is UH! ähh... if you used to have an APC 40...

Yes, you don't have redbox but you can launch scene. (you can launch clips+scene)
Just push "shit button"+the channel you want. (just need to practice a little and after it will be easy.)
But it's more for creat your own melodies (with keys) and beats (with pads) on the fly in live.
And the 24 knobs are good for effects and perform in freestyle.

if i could assign just one row of the pads for red-box function it would be a ebay deal for me,
but in the actual state i prefer to look out for a script utilising my old emx as second-instance controller
and save money for push--- the arp-scaler in the reloop is nice feature - you are right.
