Just installed 9.0.6 the other night. Does 9.1 require an un-install or does it get applied to current install?

Installer asks if you want to replace your 9.06 version, so no need to uninstall it first.

Also, it will allow you to install 9.1 in a different location from 9.0.6 if you like.

Do autoupdate install it over 9.0.6? or i need to do it manually?

It does say that it needs to be done manually. Auto-update won't work.

Mine went w/o a hitch it seems so far......I just overwrote 9.06.

I hate the fonts!!!!!!! for all the edit/view/etc commands!

so from 9.06 to 9.1 the only option i get is to download the complete 670+mb file. great.

and yes, the auto update does not work for me either, and a status indication for this feature is definitely missing.

At least this helped me to understand

My update went really smooth also... I had to update a couple of the 'suite' packs that were updated with 9.1 (not sure why packs take so long to load) but everything is working perfectly fine. I'm very happy with 9.1. Tested under heavy load and performance seems normal.

no beta here.

i overwrote 9.0.6 but kept the... installer.
it went well.

so far the only issue with it i've had is that right after the download started my Ableton account settings changed to German.

the forum ist auf English.

my lack of familiarity with the subtle nuances of Germanese prevent me from going on... it will be my last update ever.

Actually, that would tick me off!

If you install Live 9.1 take another look at your ASIO or Core Audio settings. If you have it set to something like 320 samples Live will run this at 256 instead which Abelton says is more optimised.

I've reset ASIO4all from 320 Samples to 256 and Buffer Offset from 2ms to 4ms. My older setting was not working well anymore but with new settings its fine.
