Can I make a MIDI clip always send the same note?

Post by deHaan » Tue Nov 26, 2013 3:36 pm

Hi there,

Is it possible to make a MIDI clip with different notes always send out the same note no matter which note is played? (i want to add some percussive sounds to my synth sounds using Impulse, and I want the impulse it to always receive the same note…)

Cheers,
Nikolaj de Haan

Put the scale tool on the midi track and set all the notes the same

You'll also need to capture the notes outside of each octave and transform them into one. You can do this with Pitch effects in a rack with a bunch of chains. IIRC Puremagnetik does this with one of their racks... Clapbox I think?

You can just to that by putting in two pitch devices and turning them all the way down, and then set the desired note with a third pitch device :) And use the scale device to make it the same note.

Thanks for the inputs!
