Wacom Intuos Creative Pen & Touch Tablet (Medium) w/ Live

Post by ALX-T » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:22 pm

I'm curious if anyone has used or know someone that is successfully, using this particular touch/pen tablet with Live.

It seems to be one of the newer touch/pen wacom-esque tablets on the market for designers, curious if anyone has given it go, before i decide to try it out.

I'm in need of some relief for my wrist using my apple mouse with my current desk setup. The problem might be pointed toward more to my IKEA black desk(position/height with mouse) I'm using.
I use Live and After Effect & C4D(motiongraphics) on a daily basis. :D

Hi,

I had wrist problems also with various mice. At first I bought the kensington Expert "Mouse" trackball which helped a lot (http://www.kensington.com/kensington/us ... ouse®.aspx). I found it a bit big and clunky and I am now using a Magic Trackpad (http://www.apple.com/ca/magictrackpad/) from Apple. This latest one is a joy to use. Nice gestures for a lot of things, very natural position. Highly recommended.

I've tried pen/tablet combos before and they didn't alleviate my wrist problems.

It seems the touch/pen tablet I have asked about in the subject does what the apple touch pad does but also has the capability of using a pen for graphic apps.

Moved from a intuous to a Wacom Cintiq 21" display tablet. It's a few years old so it doesn't support multi touch, only the stylus. For music stuffs, I only use it on occasion. In Ableton it's kinda cool for drawing automation curves. Zooming is a PIA even when options text is set to absolute mode. It's great for brush healing operations in Audition.

A while ago I purchased said magic trackpad thinking the multi gesture would replace my thumb style trackball and increase my productivity. I do agree it's pretty awesome, however after a month or two I switched back to the trackball. I find it less fatiguing than the trackpad, which now magically collects a lot of magic dust on the shelf.

Your mileage will vary.
