master bus vs master

Post by heuristics » Thu Nov 28, 2013 9:29 pm

Hey all,
just wondering if there is any difference between having limiter, comp etc on a master bus vs the master channel itself? atm I have a master bus for all my channels then all my sends (usually reverbs, delays etc) going straight to the master.
cheers

In Live, you may encounter confusing latency--if you have a lot plugin delay. These threads will help:

Im thinking more about digital summing than latency. Would "summing" all my tracks to a single master bus (before going to the master), be the same as summing on the master track itself. Do individual channels vs the master channel behave the exact same for digital summing?
