OT: Star Wars 3
OT: Star Wars 3
saw the midnight show last night. theatre was packed at 11.
so it was better than the last 2. as if that was hard to do.
Lucas really needs to stop writing dialogue. and i still can't take the flying/fighting Yoda.
anyway... it's fun.

two words:
bad ass
no lucas cant do dialogue, but then again he never could they were all cheezy.
he can defintiley do plot though, once you see it and think about how it goes down you will go "ahh!" like we just did. very cool
and the effects and environments are all next level, jaw dropping shit. seriously you have not seen anything till you see this
ok im shedding a tear .. its over .. sniff ..

Better than the last 2?! It was terrible, easily the worst film I've seen in months, and we watch a lotta bad stuff here it my house. If I were at all patriotic, Hayden Christensen would make me embarressed to be a Canadian. This guy should really be considering a career in soap operas or maybe porn. What a joke...
Needless to say my inner 8 year old was utterly crushed at 3 am when we got out of the theater last night. : (

I love it, I thought it was the best one out of all 6 personally. Going to see it again today. A couple bad dialogue parts as mentioned ("Noooooo!"), but otherwise spot on and wraps up all the plots, bridges the gap nicely with the second 3 movies too.

this one was for the fans ,it resumes the starwar intro ,the birth of the empire .
everyone knew what was going to happen so it's understandable that peoples were disapointed .
as for the dialogues ,the few sentences from yoda are just enough for me .
look at it this way ,yoda ,obi one , vader & his sith master have become so powerfull that to balance the force all the remaining jedi had to die .

saw it yesterday. it was pretty good - nay, alright.
as i didnt [and most likely every other star wars fan] expect it to be an awesome - life fulfilling experience. at the end of the day its a george lucas film and unfortunately george lucas cant direct a film to save his life. hes a man with ideas and stories - not a director. that why 'the empire strikes back' is the best one by far.
in a way thats a good thing because i didnt feel to bad when i came out. its definately not the worst film of the saga.
he still couldnt resist a kiddy style chase on some overgrown iguana - mug!

what amazed me was how over the course of the entire movie all the interiors and cockpits slowly went from that new high tech digital look to old school new hope dials and big buttons.
dialog sucked, how bout that "im pregnant" speech, looked like your boy was about to be like "i was having a good day...until now" ahhahha
awesome movie, but you have to be a fan.

The new starwars kicked ass, Apart from NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!, which made the whole cinema burst out laughing. But then i guess thats a good release from all the nasty stuff going on before it. And by the way George lucas practically directed empire and jedi, Irvin kershner and richard marquand were but puppets to take the strain off old fat lazy georges back. hahahaha. THX is a flipping great film aswell. The original trilogy seem a bit boring in comparison to the new ones. Apart from the end of jedi, which is the best ending to a film ever!!

i'll take your word on 'the empire strikes back' but it hes still a crap director. thank god he didnt fancy doing raiders of the lost ark as well.
THX is a quality film too? one question... is george your dad???
