Batch Analysis of Wav Files

Post by tekisui » Fri May 20, 2005 4:19 am

I'm DJing from home via a streaming server and due to the crappyness of the laptop that I'm using, it is necessary for me to pre-analyze the wav files. If I try to load one of the wav files into Live while its already playing two songs simultaneously plus whatever loops I have going also, my laptop starts running hot, the processor speed drops, and ableton live chokes and dies . Therefore, I have to load each complete song (in wav format) into Live one at a time for it to create the .asd analysis file so that it only takes a second or so to load each song as i need them while mixing live. Is there any way to get Live to batch-analyze the files so I dont have to load each one for analysis manually, one at a time like ive been doing? thanks in advance

what if you use the browser to drag all the files into the vertical view of Live at once, it will analyze each one for you...
