So, I'm trying to find a workaround for not destroying my Analog Four's patches while automating patterns in Live. I'm thinking that if I can send some sort of MIDI-dump of the patch I'm using into Live, so that Live records this into a clip as MIDI CC, that would pretty much solve the problem.¨
The question is - can Live receive and record such MIDI information without me having to manually move every knob on my synth for it to do so?
Any help on this issue would be much appreciated!

i guess it's more in the A4 manual that you'll find if the A4 is able to send a midi dump. Live can record CCs within clips.

iMac 27" Retina i5 3,2 GHz OS 10.11.3 L10.0.1 M4L.

Yeah, the A4 can do sysex dumps. Do you know if MIDIYoke or whatever it is called could translate the sysex into MIDI CC? Because then it might be possible.
