Share your Namm 2014 wish list
Posted this here instead of the lounge, as I wanted real opinions, and not the ot banter...
I need to upgrade my audio interface, but holding out for possible usb3 interfaces. I know usb2 is proven so far, but coming from firewire (which I hear is a dying protocol) I never took notice with usb2 interfaces until I began window shopping. Just hard to shell out $$$ when inherently the next gen of usb is already implemented.
More E-drum choices with diy scenarios, something new from Access, Moog poly...

BITWIG!
I think a usb 3.0 soundcard would be groovy but I don't think anyone will (except maybe RME and that will be out of my price range) Maybe a couple of thunderbolt ones, but again if so, that will likely be out of my range.
I'd love to see RMX2, but they don't do namm anymore I don't think.

-A standalone version of the Virus TI2 control software, just to edit patches and manage the patch library.
-A thunderbolt interface (2 ports) with 8x8 audio, MIDI in/out, HDMI in/out, coax in/out, with GOOD, STABLE drivers, in a half rack unit, under $600 (haha yeah right)
-A giant sync button

As much as I am enjoying the Analog Mono-synth renaissance we are currently experiencing, I'd love to see an affordable analog polysynth. Like, an Arturia Polybrute or something along those lines. I'm currently rocking' the Bass Station 2 and I absolutely LOVE it!
I am also quite under-whelmed by the Audio Interface market. I'd love to see a semi affordable interface w/ pristine pre's, more routing options, multiple head-0phone outs, MIDI pass-through()as seen on i-MIDI connect 2), universal (as in able to be used w/ iPad), built in USB hub, balances and un-balanced outs, MIDI in/out, 24 bit/192, direct monitoring, etc.
IDK, maybe that already exists but I'm just too poor for it.

My wish for NAMM 2014:
that Jordan Rudess does not demo any products or endorse anything.
would be nice if Spectrasonics surprised everyone with something new, but I don't hold my breath.
IK Multimedia will be showing SampleTank 3 - interested in that report.
Roland has been having bad trouble and I want to see what they have for Synths. Fantom are being pulled off shelves at GuitarCenters and the Integra-7 support isn't anywhere to be seen.

Oh I got one.
Roland 303 remake.
Everyone else is making mono synths and EVERYONE wants a 303. Get on it Roland.

or a monotribe with a midi in/out, for only a little bit more money, would be pretty awesome.

i would like an AKAI MPD32...just a controller, no software, exactly how it is now......EXCEPT, with pads as nice as MASCHINE's
