What audio interfaces are you guys using?
Re: What audio interfaces are you guys using?
Focusrite Saffire Pro 40. Had it for several years and won't be looking for a replacement unless it or the computer dies.

Focusrite Saffire 6 USB and a M-Audio Delta1010LT in my desktop.
Re: What audio interfaces are you guys using?
on the RME bandwagon here.. Using the UFX for main studio interface alongside a Ferrofish AD/DA converter. Both have been solid so far! Also have but rarely use anymore a Multiface 2 with both the express card and PCIe card for when I actually used my desktop and an NI Audio 2 DJ.
Just FYI, I use a HP Elitebook Workstation with the docking station and have gear hooked up to just about all of the usb ports including dual monitors without any hiccups from UFX. I may not have had to do this but I am running the UFX via USB 2.0 from a USB 3.0 express card. Even though my laptop has USB 3.0 ports built in, I chose this route just to avoid any IRQ conflicts.

for recording I`m using the shittiest sound interface in the world Lexicon Omega, but for mastering ESI Gigaport, now looking to get Scarlet 18i8. Hope I can stop switching between cards. Im planning to combine the lexicon with scarlet via spdif so I get 6 preamped mic inputs. will post the results.

Using a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 and love it. Just upgraded from the 2i4 so that I can leave my hardware synths plugged in!

Hi there.
Saffire 6 USB and Behringer UCA 202 into a Win 7 laptop. Guitar, keyboard, mics and tape. Has worked very well for the money at four channels simultaneous in.
Cheers

Earlier in this thread I made a joke about FW being dead. Allow me to state categorically that it IS NOT! And I was joking because my FW saffire 14 works like a charm with a TI chipset. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: What audio interfaces are you guys using?
Been using an Emu 1820m for about 7 (already?) years. It's a breakout box that connects to the pci via Cat5 . I replaced 2 capacitors in it once just to keep using it. Their PatchMix software adds a lot of routing flexibility similar to TotalMix, which is a big factor in why I'll probably get an RME next. It also shows that other companies could give you more flexibility with driver software but they don't. The shitty part is is that after Creative bought Emu they discontinued support for their legacy products and their drivers stopped during the dark days of Vista. They did release a beta version of their driver for windows 7 but I don't think it helps much.
The problem is is that the card is now sensitive to irq configurations and can be prone to give patches of 'static'; not quite the same as latency static. So I'll probably have to spring for a new card soon. Well, a mac, too. Actually I'm curious about UAD cards.

Edirol FA 101.
I have been eyeing the Focusrite, but the folks down at the music store have advised against it.
And I will say this for the Edirol: it is robust and reliable.

Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 for over 2 years now, running on Windows 7 64bit. Has been a big upgrade from my old FW410 and Presonus Firepod. If I needed a new card though I would probably go RME next.

Focusrite Saffire 6 USB 2.0 2in4out. Had for about a year and it's starting to act up a little bit. Part of me wants to get the Scarlett.
