I just upgraded to Live 9 and I'm pretty excited about it. If this doesn't count as gear because its software, then I would choose the Pigtronix Philosophers Tone Germanium Gold pedal I bought in the summer. It really adds a nice sound to my guitar and recordings.

What about you, what was your favorite gear purchase?

the KORG MS2000r was the coolest music purchase for me in 2013. I've always wanted one, I love the space dust sound. it has been fun challenging, bringing a hardware synth into the mix. for a second, it made me want to quit computers all together.

A Crafted in Japan Custom '62 Re-Issue Telecaster (in the last few weeks of the year) closely followed by the PUSH in the first part! (edited to include the Push which I almost forgot about as I feel like I've had it for longer than a year)
