Ableton Live 9.1 Bluetooth Speackers?

Post by tooken » Fri Jan 10, 2014 7:49 am

Hi,

I bought the Zimku Wireless / Bluetooth Speakers from Parrot. It also does everything on my Mac only Ableton does not work.

Under Settings, I can not set a different audio output except the internal speakers.

Does anyone know how to get set in Ableton Bluetooth Speaker?

Try creating an aggregate device for the Audio MIDI Setup app. These are recognised by Live.

No problem. Just be warned, combined devices don't always have the same latency. For example, I tried DJing with an aggregate device consisting of an Apogee Duet -> Speakers and Internal Soundcard -> headphones, but there was a good half second delay between the two outputs which made track syncing very complicated.

But for casual listening/producing, you should be set.

Another thing with latency is bluetooth is going to inherently add latency too, along with the aggregate device. Depending on how the firmware was written it could be 250ms+ of latency
