Why do I have a feeling that this is either ROMpler or its a MIDI controller for a VST.

If I can load my own samples and the integrations tight, I'm in.

It's analog modeling like an Arturia spark. It models 808, 909, 303 , and SH101. Nothing to see here people move along

I personally think it looks really cool, like a modern version of their old drum machines and synths. Wonder what the price is going to be? If it's virtual analogue I'm guessing less than $1000 street price but who knows. Could be a fun thing to have some day :)

it will be VA - they will most likely use Rolands new & shiny "superNATURAL" modelling engine.

this is a info that got leaked by a dutch retailer according to Peter Kirn @ CDM

Why would they make digital or VA when the trend clearly seems to be going towards analog? Is it cheaper to make? Are the parts to make analog equipment rare materials?
There analog gear is legendary. Its seems like there is already a good market for a reissue of their classic gear in true analog. People would snatch it up. There is a lot of speculation that it is VA and a lot of hate comments about that. I hope they are paying attention. Other companies see the trend and are already cashing in.
The Aira really does look nice though.

It's actually a lot more expensive to produce than digital stuff.

That makes sense then. I think people would be willing to pay for the real deal though.
