yap - it could be really, really awesome :)

specs so far:

• 8-voice analog drum machine with sample support
• Analog filter & distortion per voice
• 12 velocity- and pressure-sensitive pads
• Reverb & delay send effects
• “World-class” Elektron step sequencer
• Performance-oriented beat control

looking good

That video would have been so much less awesome if the dancers weren't in it. Thank goodness for dancers in product videos.

I miss Hector. That was one thing Elektron nailed in their product videos.

Got an email from an online retailer announcing preorders for a whole lineup of new Roland black with green lights gear. They should have just titled it “Shit you’ll buy because it looks cool.” :x

This stuff would have come in really fucking handy in 1993 when I actually needed it. I guess it's "retro" now. Like those rockabilly bands in check shirts and quiffs, or whatever.

This is Roland's Aira range

Seems a fair price for a decent digital emulation, but I don't know how much interest these will really have. The SH1 sounds kind of interesting, though with only 4 voices not sure how far you'd be able to really push it.
