How cool is that?
every time I try to install a pack, Live crashes.
Apparently packs are correctly installed but who knows.

I have to admit, I have a pretty special hardware/software combinaison. I use an iMac with the Mac OSX maverick. I know it's really special, only a few musician use it. A niche.

You guys have problem installing packs?

On the other hand I have no problem with Maschine 2.0 + komplete 9

This is probably too silly to be worth mentioning...but did you upgrade to 9.1.1? Early versions of Live 9 had problems with installing packs.

yes it's all latest version

i know this doesn't help figure out the issue, but i installed several packs last week... Live 9.1.1 and Mavericks. no crashes.

i also installed some Live 8 packs... no crashes that way either.


do you have anything else running when you're attempting to install... i.e. Maschine or Komplete 9?

... have you tried a reboot?

Happened with early betas of 9.1 I haven't seen it since either sorry.

I have tried to load a Totally empty project before installing the packs, but no luck. I have sent a crags report, I'll update this post when I get some news from the good people of ableton

OK no answer from Ableton but I found a way to install the packs without crashing : totally deactivate 3rd party VTS in the setting window. Weird because my project doesn't have any VST loaded tho...
