Ok I think this is pretty much a 32bit plug in within the 64-bit LIVE?
Does Live 64 have its own wrapper? or is there a standard one we need to download so our older 32bit plugs (non updatable) ones and ones we are happy with can play nicely?

Live does not wrap 32-bit plugins to 64-bit.
Kontakt has been 64-bit since 3.5 iirc >.>
JBridge is available for Windows and Mac if you want to run 32-bit plugins in a 64-bit host, and Live32 will create pre-wraped 64-bit AUs on Mac.
But again, Kontakt 4 is definitely 64-bit, so just update it. On windows it should install a 32 and 64 bit version, Mac it's all one plugin.
