Can anybody explain the price of the Korg MS-20 Kit

Post by BoddAH » Wed Feb 12, 2014 10:59 pm

I would really like to hear the reasoning behind selling this for more than twice de price of an MS-20 mini. Since you have to assemble it yourself (I know that it's fun but still) it should actually be less expensive than an MS-20 mini. I get that it's slightly larger and comes with two filters so I would still be OK with it costing the same price as an MS-20 mini. I would even accept it costing slightly more but more that twice the price just sounds like a greedy money grab. I was very interested in getting this but there's no chance in hell I'll buy this for more than a SUB 37 would cost. Not cool Korg.?

So why does a 86 % scale version of the exact same product (minus the filter option) of the same product cost less than half the price?

Because it allows the buyer to proudly pack it into a custom built box that’s even more hideous than the built model. I'd expect a lot of exposed and stained wood.

That, and because fanboys are suckers.

Because supply and demand.
