Maschine 2.0 workflow help

Hi All

I'm getting really frustrated with how best to integrate machine 2.0 into Live. My ideal setup would be a "drum rack" type setup with each sound given its own midi channel and I could jam on the machine. I followed the producer tech demo on NI's own website but it will only play the sample that is selected.

I've wasted a whole day fucking around with this and on the verge of deciding to sell it. I'd love to hear how you guys are setup to get the best out of it-standalone or integrated?

Thanks for the link musikmachine. I've got the maschine mkii and just upgraded to 2.0. I've been using maschine on it's own for a couple months now and now I want to dabble with it in ableton. This looks like it will be useful. If you have any other related material on maschine with ableton, I'd love to see it.

That's great mate but you need Live 9 for it, I'm still on 8. Is there a similar rack for 8 users?

Check the NI forums, loads of stuff posted on there or post if you're not clear on anything.

kompletemails' channel is good for that stuff. maschinetutorials.com is really good for getting under the hood with maschine but it's subscription but those guys know there stuff when it comes to maschine fwiw.

I'm still new to integrating 2.0 with Live so i'm not up to speed, there are issues with the midi routing so i'm kinda waiting for NI updates to restore some functionality.

Sorry guys I took down my channel cause I thought it wasn't really up to par with the way tutorials should be done using other people channels as a base point of comparison ..

in other words I did them quite lazily and didn't want to re-do them.

maybe one day I can put up updated tips with the 2.0 software.

oops my bad this is with Maschine 1.8 on Ableton 8 but you can replace the Maschine vst with a 2.0 vat in your project and just re-route the audio's out.

thats the way I made the 2.0 on Ableton 9 one that was linked to you up above ..
