Certainly, will not tempted most Live or users of other DAWS to change. I'd be happy to pay £99 for it and see how it developed.
I found my upgrade pricing to Live 9 Suite a little steep. Then BT’s new drum plug-in is like $300. Maybe prices are just going up on music software but I think it’s more….
Early hype (possibly starting at the alpha phase) + promising features lacking in other software = Put a boraderline unappealing price on it and hope for the best.

^^^^^ I'm about to go into the studio to finish up a track. I'll run a test. It will be against Live 8 and DP8.
There are certain Absynth patches with huge tails that make good test bases. They've correlated very directly with real world CPU use on my system.

I just found out all of my previous Tracktion licenses give me free upgrades to Tracktion 4. I can't remember the last time a DAW totally stalled a PC while scanning for plugins. I had to shut them down and run it in safe made.

I was a P5er' too, before I moved over to Live. Bitwig isn't as "revolutionary" as some claim it to be.

Well I haven't been here in a while but I figured I'd check in with the Ableheads and see how Bitwig is perceived.
Here's my take -
I bought it. I've been quite sure for some time that I would be switching. Some of the things made me decide to move over like bounce in place, hybrid tracks, the midi being received by all devices on a single track, the controller api and page configuration and most of all the PROPER PDC and NO AUDIO BUFFER OF LATENCY ADDED FOR EACH VST.
So after using it for a while I'm actually a bit torn. Some things are just awkward in Bitwig, most of all the VST use. There are things that just bug me too much. opening Live again is like a breath of fresh air. So we'll see if I get used to it, too early to tell. I might find that it's worth putting up with Live's issues and just keep being careful about latency stuff.
That's my take.

I really don't get a lot of the comments in these threads, aren't people getting there music made in Ableton? I mean I've been with Live since v5 and don't' think everything came together for me until 8, learning curve, developing my sound etc; not even to mention the financial investment...I understand if your a new user and weighing your options, plus the vids for Bitwig look less intimidating than Live, can't really put my finger on it, it just appears that way for some reason to me..anyway I get 85-90 percent of my track made in Live and couldn't imagine trying to learn a new software cuz there was a couple of nice features advertised.
