how to assign mouse buttons to delete etc?

I was just reading it in another thread that its possible to assign certain commands to mouse buttons.
how do I do this?

Yeah, logitech mice have software that allows for assigning functionality to buttons. I prefer the five button version that gives me a lot of flexibility.

But YMMV.
