Re: APC40 MK2
looking great as the Push expansion, by the form, color and function.

Re: APC40 MK2
Or volume sliders :/ Rotary's on Push would be good enough though i suppose.tedlogan wrote:The MKII does look real nice, and much more sensibly layed out, and I agree the Mini will probably sell like hotcakes.
I'd rather buy a Push than the MKII though. Not that much more expensive, it can do everything the MKII does and a hell of a lot more(although no crossfader).
Is it just me or is the APC40 MKII missing midi overdub and quantize buttons?

Agree. More buttons pls.beatz01 wrote:This.beats me wrote:I don’t know why they stuck with just the 5 scene layout.
I'd totally buy an APC80
Re: APC40 MK2
Yes it is... It firmly positions itself as a Performance Controller versus the Push as the Instrument...Astrotek wrote:

Re: APC40 MK2
it sure looks like it's made of plastic...
given the price of the APC mini, i really can't think of any other reason
for it's high price than that they still want to sell some of the old APC's as well...
and the midi Overdub button probably is now labelled "session" (as in session record)
But the lack of quantize button will need a little workaround...
overall looks like a really nice 250 Euro controller.
and like a quite overpriced 400 Euro controller...

Re: APC40 MK2
I think they should make the grid 8 X 8 with smaller buttons so the depth doesn’t get out of control and then to the right make it wider and combine the controls of both the APC40 and Push to make a super hybrid controller, but based on the prices of both the combo price would probably make it out of the range of a lot of people other than the most dedicated.
Sure it would be bulkier but the full Traktor controllers aren’t exactly dainty and if you still want to whine about the size go be a roadie for a local band and see what it’s like hauling, setting up and tearing down traditional gear.

Re: APC40 MK2
For those with push are you going to just use this as a clip launcher and the push as a keyboard controller / MPC pads?
SSL X Desk / Apollo Twin Solo / Sherman Restyler / Ensoniq EPS Classic / Analog Keys / Handsome Audio Zulu
Re: APC40 MK2
I honestly don't see any advantages the MK2 has against the MK1 in terms of functionality ? The Mini looks nice but as it's lacking any knobs it's more like a APC20 with 8x8 grid.I wish they did an APC40 with 8x8.
To me it seems either a used APC40 or a used Launchpad is still the best value for money.

Used? I just bought a new 2nd APC40 a few months ago for about half the price of my first one.
