noob wanting to know something i found about this template

hi i dl'd a template from online and was just wondering why the track activator butons are orange and also the monitor ins.

basically, those are tracks you, for exAMPLE, just play along live with your set. you can't record, you can only listen to your playing. if you change that to auto, you can record on that track....and off turns the track off.
i use a few of those tracks in my template to represent any hardware synths/drum machines i have. i put an EXTERNAL INSTRUMENT on like 3 tracks (one for each hardware instrument i have) then i route the audio from there.
if it's just the color you are referring to, you can change that in the preferences menu.

addition info: the IN state of the channel can still record something to the track but will not be able to listen to it. Only live feed from external audio or other track output that direct to this particular IN channel can be listen.
