Hello all,
I upgraded to live 9 recently and i'm possibly one of the few that prefer the old browser (much prefer) anyway on annoying feature is that wehn previewing sounds through the browser. On live 8 I could adjust the volume whilst the sound continued playing. Now if i touch any button or attempt anything the preview stops. Is there a way to adjust this back to the old 8 logic?

make a template set with the cue level assigned to a controller. i am not aware of other ways do overcome this (stupid) behavior of live.

You are not one of the few, there are many of us that hate the 'new' browser with a passion. As far as the volume goes, I hadn't noticed the change in behavior til you just mentioned it cause I have a dedicated knob on one of my controllers (apc40) and it does not stop the preview if you change the level via midi control. I'm sure that's probably not much help unless you want to give up one of your knobs on one of your midi controllers (it is midi assignable).

If you are lucky enough to have a multi-IO soundcard and an external mixer it's handy to feed the preview output to a separate external channel and use a different controller on your mixer to adjust. I didn't know the behaviour within Live did change between 8 and 9 on that. Interesting WHY that would have been done unless its a bug???
