Audio Clip & Arm Session Recording

Post by sounds » Fri Apr 04, 2014 7:11 pm

Hi,

I have a short piece of vocals in wav and mp3 format.
I created an audio track and dragged the vocals in as an audio clip.
What do you need to do next to be able to select Arm Session Recording?
Do I need to convert it or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

I'm unclear with what you are specifically trying to do. What are you trying to record?

Thanks for the link,

I'm recording a few midi clips into arrangement view, no problem enabling Arm Session Recording on those.
But if I try to enable Arm Session Recording for the audio track (mp3 clip), i can't enable Arm Session Recording.
Everything will eventually be recorded over to the arrangement view as I play them live in session view.

EDIT

I realised I can click Arrangement Record button to record all tracks to arrangement view as I play them.

Still curious as to why I cant enable Arm Session Recording on audio clips.
I selected Audio From in the drop down for an audio clip and selected config,
Audio Input Device was empty so I selected my sound card audio device.
The arm session recording appears but the feedback is pretty loud if i enable it.
