As someone who's been using AL as the main DAW for more than 7 years with occasional trial excursions to FL, Reaper, Sonar, Cubase, Studio One, etc., I keep noticing that AL responds slower than the other DAWs in certain basic actions such as creating an AUDIO/MIDI track, moving clips, and loading a device/plugin, especially as the song grows.
I'm guessing that it may have to do with how AL is designed to handle looping & routing. The recent arrival of Bitwig has led several to suggest that AL's programming architecture is outdated.
