Audio dies in 9.1.2

Since upgrading to 9.1.2 this problem:

- Audio unpredictably dies in the midst of use
- Meters are still active. Master meter is still active. But there is no audio
- It can be fixed by switching to some other software that uses audio (e.g Itunes) and then triggering audio from there. Then audio comes back to Live as well

I had a similar problem in 9.1.1 and Ableton told me to uninstall ClyphX and the community Push script
I ignored them but installed a fresh Push script and somehow the problem disappeared, which is really strange
I tried the same now (I am using the default Push script) but it ain't working

Anyone else experiencing similar problems?

I think it is a case of y.m.m.v.

It may be that there is an odd interaction between Live 9.1.2 and my audio card.

I will send a bug report.

Sorry to hear about your audio deaths :(
Just Got fresh OS installs on both Mac an PC and wasn't really sure what to expect.
Hating windows cuz I can't get the keys to light up on a new Lenovo IdeaPad. Touch screen navigation on Ableton native is useles/ pointless.

Also hate the Mac because it's old.. the battery is on its last limb and they don't make 17" laptops currently/anymore.

OS's in question:
Mavericks 9.1.2 and Windows 8.1.maybethestartmenuisback

Kilometers will vary.

For the ideapad keys have you tried the Fn key + spacebar? That should turn them on/off.

Yes. But how can that be linked to the 9.1.2 upgrade?

hmm circumstantial possibly...
if I were you i'd check with some other DAW as well...
uninstall/reinstall audio drivers..
also try and remove your Live preferences file...

This issue is persisting for me and it is getting worse

- On my Mac Mini (Edirol Soundcard), audio will repeatedly cut out, often after some 'event'
- Audio cuts out until I go to audio preferences, select 'built in' sound output (tinny audio is re-established) and then I re- select the Edirol again

Last night is ALSO happened on my MBP (late 2009, built in output)

Very frustrating.

Any advice?

support@ableton.com

..because it didn't happen even once here.. neither on Mac nor Windowz
could be specific to your setup (although this still sounds to me like an audio interface thing)

Yes, I have contacted support and sent them a file for both machines.

It is the fact that it happens on both my Mac Mini and the MBP - the latter of which is not using the soundcard - that is really baffling.

any 3rd party plugins or m4l devices in your set?
