Less Audio Effect Racks in Live9?

Post by Dom Murphy » Tue Jun 10, 2014 6:34 pm

Are there less audio effect racks in Live 9? Today I was browsing them and instead of having a lot of choice like in Live 8, there seems to be hardly any. For example, Live 8 had 13 channel strips whereas Live 9 doesn't have any. Also where Live 8 had sub categories like 'Ambient & Evolving', 'Tone & Colour' and 'Voice Processing', Live 9 has 'Other'.

Am I missing stuff or are there less presets in Live 9?

Fortunately I have Live 8's library still installed but it's a pain as it's not in the main library.

I don't have 8 so i can't compare, but you can add it to main library from: Preferences>Library>set location of Live 8 lib.

Yes, there are less presets.

I save all the ones I actually use to my User Library so in the end it does not matter. Both the Live 8 and Live 9 presents end up there.

Thanks for the reply's fellas. I was hoping it wouldn't be a manual save per preset but I guess it will be.

Time to get clicking!

less presets but you can still use your live 8 ones.

It is meant to be like you can point to your live 8 library and use the content in live 9

Edit: what a useless post from my own, everything was already said :P
