30% off packs

Post by eyeknow » Wed Jun 11, 2014 4:54 am

I've been waiting. Bought Darwin and have already used it quite a bit. I was thinking about the "max of cats" one.

I think I might get omar hakim too, but considering that I've really gotten into EZD2, I don't know if I'd use it that much.

bumping this with a slightly unrelated question..

How does one update packs (alot of mine are out of date, it seems)? Just by clicking the new .alp file, or?

Downloading and opening the .alp files should overwrite the existing Live Packs if needed, yes.

If you get the "Already installed" message but still want to re-install from scratch, you can remove the existing Pack first by going to Places --> Packs --> right-click the Pack --> Delete

Thinking about the Olympus Elements and Ensemble.

Anyone have experience with either of these? Olympus Elements in particular fills a hole in my sounds and sounds absolutely incredible.

You might want to double check that assumption? I have heard of people replacing packs needlessly...

You're referring to this? Ableton Forum • View topic - All Live packs get updated this week??? (ansered by Abes)

[eff]'s contribution came in right after I had downloaded the whole lot.
Pitty there's still no changelogs to the packs.

Just bought Live on an educational basis, just hoping that I will get verified before tomorrow so I can still buy some devices dirt cheap!

I bough a bunch of packs. Ones that I have been wanting to check out for a while. I got the set of Konkrete breaks, the two Abstract breaks, Microspheres and Monstrosities. The last two were impulse buys (well the whole purchase was because of the sale I geuss ) but the KD and AB I thought it would be good to have some more drum kits and I have. I pretty happy about it, I hope I get some use out of them.
I had a jam session with a few of the kits in KD3 last night, so this morning I am going to data mine those recordings to see if I can find some anomalous bits. 8)
