Installing push on a laptop doubles the output latency.. wtf

Post by mrweasel » Mon Aug 11, 2014 11:38 pm

Hi
Brought Push to a friend yesterday who runs live 9 on a laptop with windows 7 32bit and an Akai USB audio interface (EIE Pro).
Upon plugging Push and starting up Ableton, latency, which was very low on the system (64 sample without any dropouts, so 3 to 5ms output latency) just doubled.
Anyone knows what is happening there?
I mean both the push and the audio interface are already powered by their own power supply.

i think its caused by the usb port. maybe the laptop have only 1 usb port splitet up with a hub inside the laptop. maybe try another usb port on the laptop.
