That is indeed cool 8)

And if I undersood the lingo correctly free to be used in music (even commercial) if endorsment of NASA is not falsly implied by the use.

Too bad they are not .wav though, being Soundcloud n'all...

Yep.

They haven't redone anything for Soundcloud, the audio has been up here: http://www.nasa.gov/connect/sounds/ for years.

And to be honest, most of it is severely bandwith-limited through radio transmission anyway. 192 kbps (above SC's 128) wouldn't do too much additional damage.
