Clip has no waveform, but it's still audible...
This has happened to me a few times and I'm wondering what exactly is happening.
I've recorded some audio, at which point I can see the waveform. Once I save it, the waveform disappears. All that's there is a flat line. The strange thing is that I can still here the audio that was recorded!
Not a huge deal really, but does anyone know why this happens and how to retrieve the waveform so that it is visible? It would make editing SO much easier!

I also had that a few times throughout the years but couldn't figure out what it was too.
Occurs very rarely though.

Have you checked in arrangement mode? How do you save it? To where?Beattender wrote:This has happened to me a few times and I'm wondering what exactly is happening.

In my case the problem stayed throughout the Live set, no matter if I put it in Arrangement or Session. Also if I made a new set and dragged it it from the other project. But I didn't spent any time on researching the problem. I remember deleting the .asd but that didn't change it. If I put the same audio file from the mac finder into a new project it worked.Stromkraft wrote:Have you checked in arrangement mode? How do you save it? Same scenario for me regarding the arrangement view. It looks the same in both.
It was a new project, which was saved in its own project folder.

Empty in both? So when you reloaded this project, you could play back the clip again and yet there was no visible clip?Beattender wrote:Same scenario for me regarding the arrangement view. It looks the same in both.

I'm pretty sure that when I reopened the project again, it was still not visible, but was audible.

I have this problem too. Please help.

Actually restarting the program fixed it.
