Akai MPK249 Pad issue

Post by PLfan » Sun Nov 16, 2014 1:22 pm

Yo! I've got a little issue with my brand new Akai MPK249. According to Akai I'm supposed to use the MIDI preset for the previous version, the MPK49, but one of the big differences between the two is that the 249 has 16 Drum Pads instead of 12. This results in some really annoying issues when using the pads to controll the drum rack in Live. For example pad 4 on the MPK becomes the fifth pad in the drum rack. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks in advance

I just plugged mine in and turned the power on. The display showed Live lite as the first default out of the box, and automatically synced with drum racks_I'm using Live 9 Suite.
Ableton 9, Feeltune Rhizome, Focusrite Pro, Mpk249....

There's MPK249 in the selectable controller list in Ableton Live 9. It will enable all drum pads on MPK249.
