here we are exactly 1 year after the release of touchAble 2 and few month after touchAble Mini.

What's New:
You can now use a simple USB cable to connect (and even switch to WIFI on the fly)
Access to devices in racks in racks in racks in racks in racks.....

The new Live Device Template Pack (available as an in-app purchase) provides 42 well designed layouts for nearly every device in Live.

The device module can now follow the selected device in Live (Blue Hand)
Devices can now be loaded to any place of a track's device chain using the browser and drag and drop.
You can now play notes with the keys of the piano roll within the MIDI Clip Editor in the scales tab.
Devices can be stretched to take 3/4 of the screens real estate.

Completely recoded Server. (Goodbye Java!:) From now on, the Server is running in the background as a System Service.

New Settings, including:
- Follow currently launched scene option.
- choose and assign different MIDI channels for Drum Pads, Keyboard, Isomorphic Keyboard and Piano Roll (MIDI Clip Editor).

Do ipads need the camera connection kit adapter to use the usb?

the usb connection works via a simple USB cable that you use to load/sync the device!

How much is the template pack?

The USB connection is brilliant.

It uses the cable you use to charge your device. It shows up instantly and works like a charm. Congrats on this ambitious launch

I bought the template pack, currently at 21.99. It is CRAZY hitting the automation record button While playing keys AND multi-touching Operater's parameters.

For Windows does it need Loop Midi or anything like that?

It is all automatic. As long as you have the script installed and choose Touchable in control surfaces. I am on windows 8.1

It does not show up as an actual midi device, and infact, you do not even select any input or output. Leave those to none. Despite those, it still does Everything. Browsing, triggers/arranged notes, controls parameters.

Digging it so far... Noticed a bit of flakiness in the midi editor, will try to pin that down. When will the Glue VU be working?

Anyone know how touchable 3 performs on an Ipad 1??

Is it possible to 'open' Drum Rack channels in mixer view within a Group? I couldn't do it and I thought it was to be included in v3.

im wondering if this is a big re-write (as 1-2 was)? i still love 2 and am using it as a very stable performance tool. . im sure you only release things that are very stable but if you can tell me how much changed "under the hood" i would appreciate it.

iPad 1 full compatibility and same level of performance
That's my advice: buy cheap ipad 1 for touchAble!

Drum racks cannot have the same behavior as within Live yet. Hopefully soon...
