midi Part export in Cubase SX

Post by sergeastorms67 » Mon Jun 13, 2005 2:30 pm

I know this is the Ableton forum but........

I came to this forum as the cubase one isn't generally that helpful.

I'm using Cubase SX (on my desktop) at the mo cos my lappy (has Able 4 on it) is a bit poorly at the mo. :(

I'm just sketching out some melodies with soft synths. I was planning to export the midi parts into a folder so that i could drag them into live when i'm back up and running on live again. However i can't work out how to do it!!

When i tried expot as midi file it exported the whole arrangement not the single part i wanted to export. You used to be able to export just the part in VST 5.01

Any ideas?

Someone here must use SX? as well as Ableton

Havn't used SX for a while, but if I remember correctly; solo the part you want to export then wrap the said part with the left and right market thingies..... if all else fails you could always transfer the part you need into a new project.
