They said "more exciting news coming soon" in the january newsletter.
So i expect the beta to be out, around october

No delay. And it still falls within their definition of soon.
If the Beta is in October does that mean the release is November? Thats a long time to wait after advertising it isnt it?

I hope the release is much earlier than that
I was kidding
You never know with these Abletonians.
They might be hard at work....
Or they could be drinking bear and chillin. After all, it's the weekend.

I was reading an article by someone who used to work at Microsoft then went back. He said that he gauges software companies by how many cars are still in the car park late at nights and over the weekends.

i used to work oppressively long hours.

then, i read a report put out by some management consultants about how the capability to work efficiently tapers off significantly, after about 50 hours per week.

so now, if i'm in the crunch, i work 45 hour weeks.

yep, the number of cars in the weekend probably gives an index of how many people had been drinking while at work & had to take a taxi home ;-)

for some reason this thread (and others on the Live 5 subject) is really making me angry

the beta will be released when its released, your moaning about it wont make it happen any quicker and even the fact that it was your birthday and ableton seem to have forgotten about it wont make it happen until they are ready. then we'll get a couple weeks of testing then it will come out.

go outside, read a book or maybe even learn to use live 4 properly. just stop f*cking whining about when the beta will be released.

see, this is the problem i have with these software people

they say soon, which is not the soon i was expecting.

its a totally different soon and it throws everything all off

if only the soon they say was the soon i had in mind everything would be perfect

wtf

Soon is relative to the short span of time that you creatures call life.

Anyone else have "Live 5" written in tiny writing all over their walls and ceiling?

I've a bucket of white paint and I'm making "5" hand prints all over any dark surfaces I can find.

I keep googling "soon" just to confirm the meaning of the word, and asking strangers "If I was to say 'soon', what date to you think that would be?"
