Audio Recording

Hi
I just installed focusrite scarlett 212 and live lite (on Mac). When recording my voice through audio it sounds as if recorded from an ambient microphone. It takes in all surrounding noises and does not at all sound like it should with my Rode microphone. I used to work with ZoomH4 before and it did sound way better. Must be something I oversee in the settings, but I checked these following tutorial and it seems fine.
Any ideas how I can fix this?

You're probably using onboard mic in mbp.
In Ableton Preferences >Audio>Audio input device, select your audio interface.
And in the channel, select the right input.
